The administration division of Sylva Police Department consist of the Chief of Police, Assistant Chief of Police, three Patrol Sergeants and a Sergeant Detective. The administration division is responsible for the everyday operations. They provide many services to the citizens and business owners within the Sylva city limits.

• Joined the Sylva Police Department August 1997
• Held positions as Secretary, Detention Officer, Detective, Sergeant of Detectives Jackson County Sheriff’s Office July 1989 to August 1997
• North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification from Southwestern Community College 1994
• Awarded Officer of the Year 1995 with Jackson County Sheriff’s Office
• Officer of the Year for the Sylva Police Department 2007
• Awarded for Distinguished Community Support by Jackson County Special Olympics and Jackson County Law Enforcement Torch Run 2007
