The Criminal Investigation Division of the Sylva Police is responsible for the investigation of all major crimes committed against persons and property. The division is also responsible for the investigation of illegal drug and alcohol sales.

These investigations include the processing of crime scenes, interviewing of persons involved and apprehension of offenders.

The division would like to encourage all citizens to report any illegal activity or information regarding crimes committed. All information received will be kept confidential. Call 586-2916 to submit a report.
